Tennis Betting - Bet on Live Tennis Betting Match Odds

Tennis runs almost year-round, and tennis betting at 96.com is built to follow it the whole way, from the first ATP and WTA tour events of the season through to Wimbledon, the US Open, the French Open, and the Australian Open. You can back a player pre-match, follow live odds as a set swings, or dig into set and game markets that go well beyond a simple match winner bet. Every major tournament is covered, alongside regular tour events throughout the year, so there's rarely a week without meaningful tennis to bet on.

Everything is available on desktop and mobile, with crypto payments supported for players who prefer digital currencies. Whether you're following a Grand Slam final or a mid-season ATP 250 event, this page covers how tennis betting works on 96.com, which markets and tournaments we offer, and what's worth knowing before you place a bet on a match.

What Is Tennis Betting?

Tennis betting means placing a stake on the outcome of a match, a set, or a specific point within a match, from picking the overall winner to betting on how many games a set will contain. Matches are played across sets, each made up of games, which gives tennis a layered structure that opens up far more betting markets than a straightforward win/lose sport.

Tennis is also unusual in that it's almost always an individual sport rather than a team one, so a bet is really a bet on a single player's form, fitness, and matchup against their opponent on a given day, rather than a broader team dynamic. Surface matters too; clay, grass, and hard courts all favour different playing styles, which is why the same two players can produce very different results depending on which Grand Slam or tour stop they're competing at.

Betting is available both pre-match, where you weigh up recent form, head-to-head record, and surface suitability before a match starts, and live, where you can react to how a match is actually playing out, set by set and game by game.

That layered scoring structure, points building games, games building sets, sets building a match, is what separates tennis betting from most other sports. A player can lose a set comfortably and still be the stronger side overall, and a match that looks one-sided on the scoreboard can turn entirely on a single break of serve. Understanding how sets and games interact is often more useful than focusing purely on the final match outcome, especially once you start looking at in-play and set-specific markets.

How Tennis Betting Works

Placing a tennis bet follows a straightforward sequence, whether it's a Grand Slam final or an early-round tour match:

Choose a match from the current tournament schedule.
Review the odds, including the pre-match price and any live prices once play begins.
Select a market, match winner, set betting, total games, and more.
Enter your stake, sized to suit your bankroll for that match.
Confirm the bet before the match starts or once it's already underway.
Track the result, either by following the live scoreboard or checking back once the match finishes.

Odds can shift meaningfully in the lead-up to a match based on practice reports, withdrawal news, or a late change in conditions, and once play starts, live odds can move quickly depending on how each set unfolds.

Live Tennis Betting Odds at 96.com

Live tennis betting is popular precisely because momentum in tennis is so visible; a player can lose the first set and completely turn a match around, and the market reflects that shift in real time. A few things that typically move the odds during a live tennis match:

Break points: A player winning or losing serve, are one of the clearest momentum signals in tennis, and odds react immediately.
Set scores: Taking the first set shifts the market meaningfully, though far from decisively, given how often matches turn around.
Tiebreaks: A close set heading into a tiebreak often sees odds tighten right up before the tiebreak itself becomes a mini decider.
Injuries and medical timeouts: A visible injury or a player calling for the trainer can move prices quickly, particularly in best-of-five-set matches.
Server dominance: A player holding serve comfortably game after game builds market confidence differently than one facing repeated break points.

Because tennis alternates so clearly between service games, live betting here rewards players who follow the flow of a match rather than just checking the score periodically, the momentum swings that decide sets are often visible well before the scoreline reflects them.

That's particularly true in best-of-five-set men's Grand Slam matches, where a player can drop the first two sets and still have a realistic path back into the match given how much tennis remains to be played. Best-of-three matches, more common on the WTA tour and outside the Grand Slams, compress that same drama into a shorter window, so a slow start carries more weight there than it would in a five-set format. Knowing which format you're betting on, and how much match is actually left after an early setback, changes how much stock to put in a shifting live price.

Popular Tennis Betting Markets

Market Type	Description
Match Winner (Moneyline)	Betting on which player wins the match outright.
Set Betting	Betting on the exact set score of the match, such as 2-1 in a best-of-three.
Total Games (Over/Under)	Betting on whether the combined number of games played will be above or below a set line.
Handicap (Games)	One player starts with a virtual game advantage or disadvantage to balance an uneven matchup.
To Win a Set	Betting on whether a specific player will win at least one set in the match.
First Set Winner	Betting on which player wins the opening set.
Correct Score	Predicting the exact final set score of the match.
Tiebreak in Match	Betting on whether the match will include at least one tiebreak.

Set betting and total games markets tend to reward players who understand a competitor's serving strength and typical match patterns, since a big server who rarely faces break points produces very different total-games outcomes than two baseline players grinding out long rallies.

Handicap markets can also be useful in visibly uneven matchups, letting you back a heavy favourite at a more balanced price by giving the underdog a virtual head start in games. Tiebreak markets, meanwhile, tend to carry more value in matches between two players with similarly reliable serves, where close sets are more likely than in matchups with a clear serving mismatch.

Major Competitions You Can Bet On

Competition	Why It Matters for Betting
Wimbledon	The sport's most prestigious grass-court event, where surface specialists and big servers often outperform their hard-court form.
US Open	A hard-court Grand Slam known for late-night matches and a fast-playing surface that tends to favour aggressive baseline play.
French Open (Roland Garros)	Tennis's clay-court Grand Slam, where rallies run longer, and results often shift toward players with strong endurance and topspin games.
Australian Open	The season's opening Grand Slam, played on hard courts in often extreme heat, which can be a factor in longer matches.
ATP and WTA Masters 1000 / 1000 Events	The tier just below Grand Slam level, offering deep fields and frequent upsets that create regular value across the season.

Each of the four Grand Slams plays differently enough that the surface should be one of the first things you check before betting, not an afterthought. Wimbledon's grass rewards players comfortable coming forward and closing points quickly, the US Open's hard courts suit powerful, flat-hitting styles, Roland Garros's clay slows the ball down and extends rallies, and the Australian Open's hot hard courts can turn physical conditioning into a deciding factor in five-set matches. The Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 events, meanwhile, run throughout the season and often feature draws nearly as strong as a Grand Slam's, which makes them worth following even outside the four majors.

Following the tour between Grand Slams also gives you a clearer read heading into the majors themselves. A player's form across the Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 events in the months before a Grand Slam often tells you more about their current level than their ranking alone, since ranking points can lag behind a genuine change in form. Watching how a player performs on the surface leading into each Slam, clay-court results ahead of Roland Garros, grass-court warm-up events before Wimbledon, is one of the more reliable ways to build a picture before the tournament itself begins.

Why Bet on Tennis at 96.com Sportsbook?

We cover tennis the way fans actually follow the sport, every Grand Slam, the full ATP and WTA tour calendar, and both pre-match and live markets in one place. Our Sports Betting hub keeps every tournament organised together, and our Live Betting tools are built to keep pace with a sport where momentum can flip inside a single service game.

For players who prefer digital payments, Crypto Sports Betting is supported for tennis alongside our standard funding methods, so you can fund your account the way that suits you best. Odds stay competitive across marquee Grand Slam matches and regular tour events alike, rather than being concentrated only on the biggest finals.

The whole tennis offering is built for mobile too, use your browser or download the 96 APK for a dedicated app experience, so you're covered whether you're watching a Wimbledon final at home or following a WTA tour match on the move. Account access stays simple, and responsible betting tools remain available whenever you want to set limits on your play, especially useful across long tennis seasons with matches running most weeks of the year.

We also apply the same standards to tennis that we do across the rest of the sportsbook: transparent odds, consistent market availability across both tours, and the same account, balance, and withdrawal process whether you're betting on a Grand Slam final or a first-round match at a smaller tour event. There's no separate section to navigate for tennis specifically; it works exactly like the rest of your 96.com account.

Tennis Betting Tips & Strategy

Tennis rewards a bit of surface and form-specific research more than most sports, given how much a single player's game can change from one tournament to the next. Treating every match as a fresh matchup — rather than relying purely on a player's overall ranking — tends to produce a more accurate read than ranking alone ever will.

Factor in Surface, Not Just Ranking

A player's ranking reflects performance across all surfaces, so check their specific record on grass, clay, or hard courts before backing them at a particular tournament.

Check Recent Form and Head-to-Head Record

Recent results and previous meetings between two players often tell you more than season-long rankings, especially for players with a known stylistic edge over a specific opponent.

Watch for Fatigue in Long Tournaments

Players coming off a long, physical match in the previous round can be vulnerable early in their next one, particularly in best-of-five-set Grand Slam draws.

Use Live Markets to Track Momentum

Because tennis swings visibly with each service game, live betting lets you react to genuine momentum shifts rather than committing everything to a pre-match price.

Pay Attention to Conditions

Wind, heat, and indoor versus outdoor courts can all affect how a match plays out, particularly for players whose games depend on specific ball toss or serve conditions.

Manage Your Bankroll Across a Long Season

With tour events running most weeks of the year, it's easy to bet more often than planned, set a clear budget for the season rather than reacting tournament by tournament.

Track Doubles and Mixed Events Separately

Doubles matches follow different momentum patterns than singles, since serve dominance and net play matter more, so treat doubles form as its own research area rather than assuming a player's singles results carry over directly.
